Your backpain can have several indications and one of them is the possibility of the underlying medical problems that may require serious treatment. It can be the following conditions:

  • Cancer in the pancreas. It triggers pains in the back, or stomach area and is associated with jaundice as well as weightloss. It is the most aggressive type of tumours due to its early metastases' formation. The main reason is, it activates the key factor, Zeb1, of an embryonic programme. Zeb1 controls the migration and survival of the cells. It is blocked in the fully developed and normal cells but when reactivated in cancer cells, fatal consequences can take place.

"Because there is no effective screening for pancreatic cancer, identifying controllable risk factors for the disease is essential for developing strategies that can prevent cancer," researcher Halcyon Skinner, PhD, of the department of preventive medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, says in a news release.

"Vitamin D has shown strong potential for preventing and treating prostate cancer, and areas with greater sunlight exposure have lower incidence and mortality for prostate, breast, and colon cancers, leading us to investigate a role for vitamin D in pancreatic cancer risk," says Skinner.

Adenocarcinoma is by far the most common type of pancreas tumor. The survival rate of a patient is related to the four types of genes: RAS, CDKN2A, SMAD4, and TP53 genes. A group of scientists discovered that there is small chance to survive when 3 or four of these genes are altered.

"The research helps us  to understand how the molecular features of pancreatic cancer impact prognosis on an individual level," says the study co-author Aram Hezel, M.D., a gastrointestinal cancer expert and chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Wilmot.

  • Ovarian cancer. It may happen to women at an early age or later part of their lives such as postmenopausal period. Back pain occurs in its early stage but it doesn't always mean to be the in direct relation with it. However, the pain in the back has myriad illness indications. So, be aware about the most noticeable signs and symptoms which are as follows: bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, trouble eating or feeling full quickly, frequent urination or urgence to urinate. If any of these symptoms goes for two weeks long or occurs for more than 12 days a month, should see a doctor. Hut

Risk Factors

  • a family history of breast, ovarian, or uterine cancer
  • the presence of BRCA1 and BRAC2 gene

These faulty genes when they mutate make up the 40% risk of developing ovarian cancer--even breast cancer..

  • Lynch syndrome
  • never being pregnant
  • obesity
  • some fertility and hormone medications
  • endometriosis
  • age, most cases develop after menopause

From the research studies, ovarian and breast cancers are increased when women sleep with lights on. They found out that light suppresses the normal production of melatonin, the brain chemical that regulates our sleep-wake cycles. Melatonin tends to increase the release of estrogen-fueled cancer. Also, when women don't sleep when melatonin are in highest level, they are prone to breast cancer.

  • Liver problems. Liver is an organ that carries various vital bodily functions. It is protected by the ribs and located at the right upper belly. There are over 100  different types of liver disease that fall along these following categories:alcoholic-related liver disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, hepatitis, hemochromatosis and primary biliary cirrhosis.  The three major causes of liver disease are as follows:

    - obesity, undiagnosed hepatitis infection, alcohol misuse

If you have heard the so-called "fatty liver", this is a condition which your liver hoards fats due to obesity which potentially results to insulin issues. While this health condition doesn't give apparent symptoms, it can progress further to higher level of alarming liver diseases such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, cirrhosis, and so on.When it develops into cirrhosis, you will feel pain in your abdomen and back areas.
