Heavy metals are commonly found in our foods, drinks, home products. They are practically around us (air, water, land, etc). Scientists identified them according to their density or atomic weights. However, not all of them are posing wreck to our health because we need miniscules of them to boost our health such as the iron, zinc, and copper. They become detrimental to our health when they have high concentration in our body. In any case that it happens, the major body organs such as the liver, kidney, heart, lungs, and brain are heavily affected resulting to deadly diseases such as diabetes.
The scientific studies have linked them to serious disesases such cardiovascular, brain damage, and other forms of cancers. Hence, it is too important to identify sources of these heavy metals and how you can get rid of them.
Arsenic is a complex metal forming a variety of compounds, organic and inorganic. It is mainly used in the production of pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides. Also, it us used for growth stimulation and disease prevention. The chronic exposure to this metal will cause intestinal pain, burning eyes and throat, diarrhea, dizziness and/or nausea, sensory loss, cardiovascular failure and even death.
It is naturally occuring in the earth's crust and released into the air by volcanoes, mining, and commercial uses. In the 19th century, it was used in paints and dyes for clothes, paper, and wallpaper [Meharg 2003]. The organic forms of arsenic found in seafood (mainly arsenobetaine and arsenocholine, also referred to as “fish arsenic”) are generally considered to be nontoxic, and are excreted in urine within 48 hours of ingestion [ATSDR 2007]. However, inorganic forms of arsenic have been found in some types of seaweed. Recent literature suggests hijiki seaweed has very high levels of inorganic arsenic (MMA) [Rose et al. 2007]. (Arsenic)
Aluminum is found in cookwares, cosmetics, water purification, and among others. It is a neurotoxic chemical that can lead to Alzheimer's disease. However, its negative impact on health is triggered only by the dose and duration of exposure. Aluminum has been part of the commercial products and produced in large quantities. Perhaps, it is due to the fact that it is the third-most abundant metalic element in the earth's crust after silicon. Indeed, this metal is an intergral part of human economy. (Aluminum )
Cadmium inhibits the body from absorbing nutrients such as the zinc, calcium, and iron which renders to bone and immune system disorders. It originates from phosphate fertilizers, NiCd batteries, plating, pigments, plastics, and sewage sludge. Smelters from industries are the most airborn bearers. Also, you can be exposed to cadmium in the environment where smoking cigarettes is allowed. (Cadmium)
Copper enters our body from the foods, drinks, or air that contains copper. The high concentration or level of it inside our body can damage kidney, liver, and even cause of death. However, in the minimal amount, it can boost health and other biological functions such as the proper utilization of iron and oxygen within our blood. Also, it helps in the formation of hemoglobin, and red blood cells. Indeed, the knowledge about the copper homeostasis is vital as in the excess or least of it will cause health problems. (foods high in copper)
Lead is proven to cause dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, learning disabilities, seizure disorders, aggression, reduced fertility, hyperactivity and many other health issues. It is one of the major health threats against children and pregnant women. It is acquired in any manners but our body absorbs higher levels of lead through inhalation. A person who is exposed to lead over time may feel: lead sources
Mercury has a wide health risks such as neurological, psychological and immunological disorders. It can easlyto penetrate the brain barriers, thus, keep yourself away from it. For sources, read at surprising sources of heavy metals

Toxicity of the chemicals are built up over time within our systems. But it is necessary to get into action right away as today's lifetstyle is congested and adulterated with heavy chemicals. Here are the basic steps to take:
Water is indispensable element on earth as all living organisms depend on it next to oxygen, for survival. However, not everyone has the awareness about its composition in regards to the degree of toxicity or health benefits.
The current lifestyle which technology and industries are scaling up, it is hard to point out if the water you are drinking these days are indeed safe. Nevertheless, it is important to understand water requirement of your body whether you are an adult or a kid. An adult person is expected to consume 3 liters of water in a day if he weighs 250 pounds, and shouldn't exceed from this amount to get rid of kidneys pains or leg cramps.
It is important to avoid water that goes though reverse osmosis (RO) for hydration. It might be having low levels of toxic chemicals and metals, pathogens, and of low cost but it consists of lots of disadvantages. It doesn't hydrate the body well and has the added toxins in the water due to residues from plastic membrane that goes with the passing of water through it. (water for health and longevity)
Taking supplements is an essential substitute if you can't follow eating raw fruits and vegetables. However, you need to be smart in identifying the best products to use. Below is the list of common synthetic vitamins you should avoid according to foodmatters.tv.
Liver is not an ordinary body organ. It plays various bodily functions to be at the peak condition which are as follows:
To cleanse your liver effectively, make juices out of raw vegetables such as cabbage, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts. You can mix them with carrots, cucumber, beets and greens. Learn more about how to detoxify your liver.
Your gut is the second brain in your body. It has direct connection with your brain health. The beneficial bacteria thriving in it are necessary for keeping an optimal health and well being. One way to do it is to boost your probiotic and prebiotic intake. Probiotic supplements help to nourish the good bacteria and keep them in balance. However, be careful in choosing the supplement prior to buying. You can take it before or after taking antibiotics. But ofcourse you also have to eat real foods rich in fiber or prebiotics to enhance the mirobiome's growth.
